Every 41 minutes somewhere in the United States , a child with life-threatening illness gets to put aside the agony of being sick, and for one small moment in time, thanks to the Make-A-Wish, gets to live their most heartfelt wishes.
Over the past nineteen years, the King of Swing Charities, founded by friends and family to celebrate the life and legacy of Christopher James Newton, has raised and donated over $333,000 to the Gulf Coast Chapter of MAW. This unique group of young people, who conceived and run this 501 (c)(3) charity, have organized an annual community event that brings together families, neighbors, friends and businesses for a much anticipated weekend of golf, dinner, fellowship, fun and awareness of others in need.
